GiftStation

Our Challenge

Just days before the key Christmas buying period GiftStation wanted a social campaign that would drive sales and grow their Facebook database (Likes) from a low budget. We also had a sub-objective of driving more awareness of the newly launched GameCards which offer credit for 1000′s of online games

The Solution

Our idea was to run a Facebook based promotion that showcased the range of products available from Gift Station, educated consumers on the GiftStation service and introduce GameCards.

This project contributed to a record Christmas for us. They owned the project, allowing me to be hands off which was immensely important for me during such a busy time. We were very happy with the results.

The Result

The competition, aptly coined “The GiftStation’s Ten Gifts cards a day Christmas Giveaway” did exactly that – gave ten gift cards away every day to people who liked the Giftstation.co.nz Facebook page and entered their details into a a Facebook based entry form. We offered a different prize from a different retailer every day and allowed people to enter once a day over the competition.

The results were great. 1.7M ad impressions, 2281 competition entries, a 600% increase in Facebook likes, a higher engagement rate from their Facebook community than ever before and record December sales.
